ELFIN CARS
The famous Elfin Car Works were originally situated in Conmurra Ave Edwardstown in Adelaide South Australia. Many highly successful cars were manufactured there and to this day the work of Garrie Cooper and his team is a legend with Elfin Cars being highly sort after as collectable historic documents in their own right .
The likes of Jack Brabham, Lex Davidson, Bob Jane and Mel McEWIN all raced Elfin Cars.
This car was constructed with the colaboration of Garrie Cooper and remains one of the only closed road cars known built with his assistance .
It remains in the original owners hands and has achieved road registered status with the South Australian road traffic division .
As a historic piece it is unequalled in the history of Elfin Cars as it was the only collaboration known to have taken place .
The original owner was also an employee of Coopers at one time .
The SDS DELTA remains in good condition as a prototype, for others to have been constructed, and ranks amongst the most collectable of Elfin associated projects to be undertaken .
Whilst there is some minor finishing to be completed , it is a usable piece of history rarely unearthed in these times .
